MacPacker for MAC
Free, open-source archive manager for Mac: look inside ZIP, RAR, 7z and 40+ formats without extracting, and pull out only what you need.
MacPacker Overview
MacPacker lets you browse archives like folders. Open a ZIP, RAR, 7z or one of more than 40 other formats and you see everything inside without extracting a single byte, even archives nested inside other archives. Drag out just the files you need instead of unpacking gigabytes for one file, preview files with Quick Look, and right-click in Finder to extract or compress without opening the app. When you do extract everything, several top-level items land neatly in a folder named after the archive.
MacPacker can also create ZIP and 7z archives, with AES-256 passwords if you like, edit them in place, split them into volumes, and open password-protected archives. Finder tags, custom icons, permissions and symbolic links are kept, so extracted apps still launch. It is made by Stephan Arenswald, free and open source under the GPL-3.0 license and available in 21 languages. Version 1.1.0 needs macOS 14.6 or later and runs natively on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
